i think...
there's something wrong with the way i work. i must be very inefficient, for work seems neverending. perhaps the procrastinator in me is unwittingly winning all the battles.

is this true? - http://www.goldinuniverse.com/
Name: jen
Date: 3/28/2009
Colorgenics Number: 14532076
You are seeking an affectionate relationship, offering fulfilment and happiness. You are capable of powerful emotional enthusiasm. Deep down, you are a kind loving person, always helpful and willing to adapt yourself if necessary to realise the bond of affection that you desire. But you need the same consideration and understanding from others and it is this need that will sometimes hold you back... so let go, trust and you may pleasantly surprised at what happens.
You are looking for excitement and stimulation and you are ready to try anything - but be careful not to take too many risks.
You lack confidence and that is a great pity because deep down you are indeed a warm caring person. This lack of confidence is making you wary of being drawn into any open discussion or conflict and so you feel as if you should let matters lie and leave well alone. But there may be a pleasant surprise in store for you. You are beginning to grow and very soon - sooner than you believed possible - this warm loving new you will be available for all to see and to appreciate.
You are an emotional, sincere and impressionable individual experiencing frustration and unnecessary stress. You vehemently resist any form of pressure from outside sources, insisting on your independence as an individual. You want to be a decision maker - to make up your own mind without interference. You wish to be able to draw your own conclusions and arrive at your own decisions. You detest uniformity and mediocrity as you want to be regarded as one who gives authoritative opinions. Your favourite expression could well be that 'I may not always be right but I am never wrong'. You're a perfectionist and even though you may feel that the other person's point of view may be right, you find it extremely difficult to admit that you could be wrong.
You would like to be respected and valued for yourself and this can only be achieved from within a close and harmonious relationship.

you're never alone
it might seem as though the burden is too heavy for you to carry. you might feel as if no one can understand what you are going through. there might even be a very great temptation for you to give up, to stop trying.
Let not your heart be troubled.
always remember that you are never alone. there are many around you who will always be ready to lend a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on. hugs for hire! and He will always be with you, every step of the way.

MSTD
had the opportunity to sail on RSS Resolution together with the Midshipmen from 6-14 mar. it was quite an eye-opener as i got to experience life onboard a navy ship.
on 6 mar, 14 of us flew over to Phuket where we were met by the XO and our guide (members of the ship's crew). for the first three days, the ship stayed in harbour and we were able to go for 'shore leave', where we were shuttled into town at about 1400hrs and only returned to the ship after 2200hrs. so it was r&r and shopping for us until we started sailing back from 9 mar.
unfortunately, or fortunately for us, the sea wasn't choppy at all and we didn't get to experience much rocking. you could barely feel the ship moving along unless you went onto the flight deck and could see how fast we were sailing.
generally, life onboard the ship wasn't very much different. of course, we didn't have access to the internet all the time, and we were more or less uncontactable without any mobile phone networks. but the food was pretty good, there were exercise facilities, you could watch dvds, read, the kids could still play soccer with the crew... the most annoying thing for me was that the ship's air-conditioning caused my nose to leak almost non-stop throughout the trip. either that or it was blocked. moisturisers are an essential item as well. i seem to have appeared darker due to the unforgiving sun. perhaps i didn't apply enough sunblock...
the ship's crew were all very warm and friendly. despite all the inconvenience we caused them, they were very helpful. one thing i realise is that when you are part of the ship's crew, you're almost like one big family. you really have to depend on each other as there's nowhere else to go!
i am glad to say i've managed to make the acquaintence of some of the crew and i've discovered that they are really nice people. this trip was some kind of early holiday for me and despite all the mad rush to complete my work before i set off, it was a good break for me to recharge. afterall, not everyone gets this kind of opportunity to sail with the Singapore Navy. :)
thank you RSS Resolution!
