NCC 54th OCC
the time now is 12.06am on an early Tuesday morning. i am posting this entry from school. why? because there is a camp. and it will last all the way till Thursday noon. :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
since the 20th of october, i have been away at a 4-week course over at HQ in army fatigue. Last Thursday saw all of us looking smart in our No.1 uniforms, all in super-hyper mode and feeling high from the full day rehearsal. it has indeed been a memorable course. many new friendships were forged, since we went through the same things together. we had fun, we sweated together, played together, ate together, felt miserable together.
this course saw many 'firsts' for me - the first time i wear no. 4, the first time i handled a rifle, the first time i witnessed a live firing, played paintball (which i did not enjoy at all), took a marksmanship test, tried out a variety of weapons, went onboard a frigate etc. even now, although the course has ended, i still miss waking up every morning preparing to book in by 7.45am, bunning up my hair, and spending more than five minutes to put on the boots, seeing my coursemates and wondering what the day had in store for us. those were good memories, and they would be with me for a long time to come.
