happy teacher's day
it was a memorable teacher's day concert. we had to enter from the back of the hall the hollywood-red-carpet way. the students were ecstatic and seemed to have enjoyed themselves tremendously. on top of the usual performances such as singing and break-dancing, there was even a duo from a sec 1 class who put up a magic show. it was all rather entertaining, and i found myself getting surprised by the many talents of our students.
they have hope yet.
my form class managed to put together a mini party without sabotaging the form teachers (thankfully!) and it was a pleasant surprise because although i mentioned to them a few days ago that a party was optional, they actually managed to make one materialise. now i have many packets of chips below my workspace because they brought too much food. i was very proud of my class because they cleaned up the classroom very quickly and everyone helped to rearrange the desks and chairs back to their original positions without being told. when we proceeded to the hall after that, we passed by some classrooms with flour on the windows and confetti all over the floor. i'm glad my class did not do that.
some students gave me presents but i didn't get the chance to unwrap them because we had to rush off to our teacher's day lunch. looking forward to it when i return to school next tue. yes, even though it's supposed to be the september holidays, i will still be having lessons with 2 of my classes. there goes the one week break.
back to reality. :)
