Antony & Cleopatra
the kids put up a fantastic performance. they did so much better than we expected. we're all so proud of them. hope that they will have similar performances tonight and tomorrow night.

munching biscuits in school...
it's been more than a week. O level results have been on the minds of most, if not all the students. there is much speculation that they will be released on this coming friday. many of them are already telling me that they will not be coming back for lessons after receiving their results. their responses when i asked them why - "depends on how many points i get". so it probably means, if they fare much better than expected, we can expect them to go on to other colleges, and if they fare much worse than expected, they might not even make it to jc.
such a dilemma.
sat in for my mentor's lesson today. after seeing her in action, i can understand more fully why she has been in the service for 25 years... her lessons seem so enjoyable that i wish i were her student. ha. i shall strive to be like her! 25 years down the road...

X-country
we had our annual cross-country at east coast park this morning. on the eve of chinese new year! the holiday spirits were high, everyone seemed to have enjoyed himself or herself. :) i tell myself that come next year, i will be running instead of doing checkpoint duty. it seems quite fun. but i shall have to train very hard in order not to malu myself...
steamboat for reunion dinner!!! yum yum... *slurp* just thinking about it makes me super hungry... ha! this year never go chinatown. also never buy any bak gwa. :( so sad...
hmm.. somehow as i grow older, i don't feel as excited about chinese new year as i used to be.

brought so much stuff home to do but didn't touch any of it at all!! no idea what to do for lessons tomorrow. ha.
tried something new, added a song to play in the background. duno if it is a good idea though.
song lyrics are very meaningful.
*and between now and then
till i see you again
i'll be loving you
love me*

quite happy...
with the way tutorials turned out today. had lessons with all my three classes today. as usual, they all looked blank when i tried to ask them questions as a class, but after i grouped them and made them discuss about what they wanted to do for their mini research project, they seemed to warm up to each other. "scolded" one class, however, because when i wasn't around for my lesson with them on wednesday, i actually set them work to do, which they did not hand in at the end of that lesson. they only handed it in this morning to their rep. when they saw that i wasn't too pleased about it, they seemed a little guilty. i wasn't actually angry with them, but had to let them know that i expect instructions to be followed and deadlines to be adhered to. it's a good habit to learn from young.
after doing the same thing with each class, i seem to get better. practice makes perfect?
teaching is fun, after all. :)

Marina South
today is a compulsory day for all the year ones to go on class excursions. my mentor's class decided that they wanted to go to marina south to fly kite. these kids, they are so cute. bring food but didn't bring any plates, forks, spoons... in the end they had to rely on the generosity of another class who happened to choose the same location.
i spent most of the time just enjoying the wonderful breeze and thinking, especially about the last time i went there. it wasn't such a long time ago, but things have changed so much. hmm... i wish that one day i could go back there and do what i did then, just sitting at the breakwater and enjoying the sea breeze, listening to music and soaking up your presence.
my dear friend, i miss you. hope you are alright.
