selamat hari raya!
a public holiday... nice to just laze at home, not really doing anything... :) afterall, it's supposed to be the company that matters, right? so happens to be a friend's birthday today, wonder if she went anywhere to celebrate. ;p
weather not too conducive today for birding. been drizzling almost the whole day. sort of cleared up only around evening. even though it was a superb time to go birding then coz it was low tide, it was already too late. hmm.
had an influenza shot today. arm is aching... wonder why. supposed to be valid for one year. but if the flu bug has many strains of virus, then what good is the influenza shot?

fascinating!
went to the bodyworlds exhibition at expo on nov 19 with a new found friend. :)
was reminded of all those stuff i learnt in my biology lessons many years ago. there were some kids who went around the different exhibits carrying their biology textbooks. would going to the exhibition ensure good grades in the exam? i doubt so. but it would be a useful complement.
i seriously wonder if people have eyes to read the tags on the glass display cases that say "PLEASE DO NOT LEAN". grr...
my first subway sandwich of the year! yummy... :P i should eat it more often. :)

rain...
the best thing to do when it is raining heavily is to stay in bed with a nice book. or to sip warm coffee in a cafe while watching the rain. hot chocolate will do too. :)

so excited!

i didn't know you were so unhappy. how come you didn't say anything before? why do you choose to just swallow everything and bear everything alone? just to make me delighted? how can i be delighted knowing that you are not delighted? is it possible to let me delighted and to wish that you will be too? it's difficult...
the others have started selecting. i cross my fingers and toes that by the time it is our turn to select, we would still somehow miraculously get one of our choices. 6 more days. so far away...
now i understand why other people can do nothing else but spend the day wasting away in front of the tv keeping track of stock prices.

yipee!
going to have my own place! it's so exciting.... but i'm also worried. what if we can't get the one we want so badly??? *worried* i want it badly. it's so beautiful. it would be OUR own HOME SWEET HOME. :)

karaoke
went to k-box at paradiz with a group of frens last friday. it was to celebrate two of our friends' birthdays. think the rest of them forgot that another guy friend present was also having his birthday soon. he had no presents! so poor thing...
reached there around 8+pm, sang till 1+am. seems like we could stay till 3am coz we paid till 3am. hmm. don't know how k-box works. not a bad place. i might probably go back there again. the songs come one after another, so no waiting required. and it's easy to select songs. computers! genius.
the photos came out mostly ok. but some of them looked really dark... but still, what should be seen were able to be seen, so i guess that's good enough. maybe i should get my hands on a digital camera one of these days. those things look kinda fun... :P

hmm...
recently a friend sent me an invite to a network service, something that enables you to know more people through your friend's personal network. i managed to get in touch with some people i haven't heard from for a long long time. and it's amazing how someone's friend's friend is actually your long lost classmate etc. the world is actually not really that big, and singapore is especially small. it's great to be able to stumble upon long lost friends. :)

time really flies....
heard from a fren today that she has already gotten a flat. we used to be really close in school, way back when we were secondary classmates. as we grew older, we drifted apart, had our own friends... and something happened that perhaps created an awkwardness in what remained of our friendship. nevertheless, i've always felt very protective towards her. no matter what happened, i would never want to lose a friend like her. i would always want the best for her. that was one reason why i backed out. another reason is the obvious one. well, we each found our own happiness. and i'm truly happy for her.
