it's strange...
went to plaza sing yesterday to catch a movie. there was this couple queueing in front of me with a baby. the counter lady told them that babies are not allowed into R(A) shows. and considering that most of the movies screening at plaza sing yesterday were either R(A) or NC-16, that struck out most of the shows they could watch with a baby. in the end they didn't watch any show. was the counter lady correct? according to law, no one below the age of 21 could watch an R(A) show. but considering that the baby was too young to even know what's going on, could the authorities have been more flexible? or would it have caused more trouble since it would be difficult to arrive at a definite age where kids are not allowed in? hmm...
when it was my turn to buy the tickets, the same counter lady asked to see my ic. considering that i am already way past 21, and the show i was catching was an NC-16 show, i began to seriously wonder if she was following the rules too closely. i highly doubt that i even look vaguely in my teens. what if it was a middle-aged person? would she have requested to see his/her ic too? *ponders*
